Yoot SAITO

Game designer. Born in Tokyo in 1962. His game "Tower", which he created while he was the Game Designer/President of Corporation, won many awards, including the American Software Publisher's Association's Codeis award for "The Best Strategy Game of the Year". His winning work "Seaman" has also won numerous awards including the Multimedia Grand Prix's package software entertainment award.

Reason for Award

This works uses a voice recognition system to enable the player to communicate with the characters through natural voice dialog. The way it allows the player to actually educate the characters is little short of epoch making, introducing an entirely new dimension to the world of video gaming. The humorous and witty dialog with the characters is outstanding. BACK
