CORNELIUS
“Fit Song”

TSUJIKAWA Koichiro
When working as a freelance designer, he handled the editorial work of tour footage of CORNELIUS at the request of Mr. OYAMADA Keigo, his friend. After this, has been working as a visual director, mainly with music videos of various artists. In recent years, he handles direction in CM for Shiseido, NTT East and others; a logo design for movie companies or web design and so on.
It is my great pleasure to receive such a treasured prize. In this work, each sound is synchronized with interpretation and the “visual images” also join in the live presentation of CORNELIUS as a member of the band. Mr. SADAHARA, the producer at OMNIBUS JAPAN and Mr. INUDO, the animator were, again, a big help to me in CG production. Our teamwork has been established while having created various works together over many years and it makes it possible for us to create such a great piece of work under tough conditions.
Unquestionably a pleasant piece of work. This is a hybrid entertainment work in which the music and the visual image come into existence in a just about equal relationship; therefore we cannot categorically describe it as a music video. The concept of this work is also sensed from the way it was applied for in this event, which was in the visual director’s and the musician’s joint names. In my opinion, a music video has a sufficient capability to exist not only for a promotion purpose, but also for its entertainment contents and this work makes us feel the possibilities in this sense.
