Exhibition of Award-winning Works

Introducing about 160 pieces of fine works of Art, Entertainment, Animation, and Manga, selected from 2,091 entries from 43 countries and regions of the world. Each division exhibits award-winning works and works recommended by the Jury. This is a valuable opportunity to see in one location the world of "media arts" which keeps expanding beyond the genre.

Media technologies exist for conveying messages to people. Visitors encounter a variety of art works which make them feel something new about this idea gathered from across the world.

The 13th Computer Graphics Contest for Students

This is the 13th time the Computer Graphics Contest for Students, which aims to discover young talent, has been held. Fine works selected from 1,195 entries in Still Image, Animation, and Interactive Divisions. You can enjoy the creativity of the younger generation which produces a new world commanding technological capabilities together with the power of idea and point of view which are unique to students.

Leading Edge Technology Showcase ’08

With “More Communication connected by leading edge technologies” as a theme, introducing new technologies for art presentations in the future and potentialities of presentation generated by the most advanced technologies. Experiences of technology which makes various types of communication possible using voice, gesture, and lights are available.

Media Art in the World

Report media arts festivals which are newly born and keep growing in the world. Introduce major festivals in the US, Europe, Asia, and Oceania with projected images and panels. This is an attempt to figure out the situation of media arts in Japan by making comparisons with their counterparts in the rest of the world.
