A presentation of prizes
One Grand Prize, four Excellence Prizes and one Encouragement Prize are awarded in recognition of works of outstanding artistry and creativity in each division. Based on the recommendations of the jury, one Special Achievement Prize is presented to the artist who has made significant contributions to the field of media arts.

Interactive, Installation, Visual Image, Still Image (including digital photograph), Web Work, etc.

<Entertainment Division>
Game, Electronic Play Equipment, Visual Image (VFX, CM, MV, etc.), Character, Web Work, etc.

<Animation Division>
Long Animation (Movie, TV, Original Video Animation), Short Animation, etc.

<Manga Division>
Story Manga, Frame Manga, Web Manga, Independent Manga, etc.

-Prizes

Grand Prize:
Certificate (Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize), trophy, 600,000 yen prize money
Excellence Prize:
Certificate (Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize), trophy, 300,000 yen prize money
Encouragement Prize:
Certificate (Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize), trophy, 150,000 yen prize money

The National Art Center, Tokyo
(From Wednesday, Feb. 3rd to Sunday, Feb 14th, 2010)
Display and screening of about 170 Award-winning Works and other outstanding media arts works selected from total of 2,592 works submitted from 54 nations and regions.
