NISHIMURA Sachiyo

A photographic installation comprised of 120 pieces that aims to reconstruct the image of rail stations as places. Though stations are part of most urban circuits around the world, they coexist anonymously and are unrelated to any specific local identity. By using photographic media, this project proposes a fragmented, mathematical re-composition of these urban spaces, attempting to put forward another version that is more complex and more significant than the real referent image.
