MATSUMOTO Mari (Team daruman）

daruman is a new version of daruma otoshi, a traditional Japanese toy. The idea for this work was conceived in response to the question if a toy needs to change its facial expression from time to time, as would a human, in response to changing circumstances. As daruman loses his body pieces, he becomes frightened or angry and his face changes. Players can enjoy seeing all the different facial expressions of the Daruma doll during play.
