How to Apply

  • Online entry application is possible through this page from Thursday, 15 July 2010 to Friday, 24 September 2010.
  • Should you wish to apply through this page, please provide the necessary information on the application registration screen and send the submission in question to the secretariat office. Please aware that the application will be complete upon receipt of the work.
  • Should you wish to present the submission in person, take the work to the secretariat office during the application period.
    The secretariat office will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, but closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays.
  • When you send the submission, you need to indicate the "Registration No.," which is issued when you register your application. Once the registration of application is completed, a label output screen with your "Registration No." will be displayed. Please print it out and attach it to the work to be submitted.

To apply your Works

Please read the following Japan Media Arts Festival regulations carefully before submitting works.

[Entry Form] Page

  • Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. The application will not be accepted if any fields marked in this way are left blank.
  • An address and a telephone number are necessary in case errors in the application are found or for notification of honors. It is essential that you enter an address and telephone number where you can be contacted.
  • There is no limit on the number of works an applicant can enter. However, a separate entry form is required for each entry (except a suite of works or serialized works).

[Entry Complete] Page

  • After the entered information is confirmed, a "Registration No." will be issued which indicates the receipt of entry. If you enter your e-mail address in the "e-mail" field at the "Personal Information," the "Registration No." will also be sent to you by the “Notice of the completion of your application reservation.”

[Label Print] Page

  • Print out a label which shows the “Registration No.” and attach it to the work which is to be sent. Please be aware that the application will be complete upon receipt of the work.

[Visual Still Image Registration] Page

  • Please register a visual still image of your work.
  • The image will be used as an identification material throughout the screening process. Also, it will be used for public relations material to introduce your work when your work is selected as an award-winning work or jury recommended work.
  • You can register the image of your work later, from the “Notice of the completion of your application reservation.”
